Description: Pair of Southern Chippendale Chairs - The pair of side chairs are mahogany with pierced splats and slip seats and date to the second half of the eighteenth century. Chairs with identical splats are pictured in (American Chairs - Queen Anne and Chippendale ) by John Kirk, plates 212,213 & 214 and are attributed to the Winchester area of Virginia . They are in a older finish H 37” x 21”W x 17 1/2” D SET IS 18”H
